Are you dreaming of the warm, sunny, Okanagan days sipping wine with friends? Well, those days are around the corner and Kelowna wine tours should be added to your “to do” list this summer. Kelowna wine tours are an immersive experience made for both wine lovers and scenery lovers with curious minds. On a Sagebrush Tours Kelowna wine tour you sip and sample wines, enjoy the picturesque scenery, and learn about the history of the area. Accompanied by an expert, passionate, and fun-loving local guide, you’ll tour boutique and large wineries throughout the Okanagan Valley.

Here’s a quick reference general itinerary for wine tours in the Okanagan:

  1. Get picked up from your accommodation
  2. Visit 4-5 wineries
  3. Sample different wines at each vineyard, and have the choice to purchase bottles.

You can expect to be driven to different vineyards to learn about wine, how it is made, and sample a few at each, with the option for lunch on full day wine tours.

With Sagebrush Tours, you can expect so much more.

Who are we?

Sagebrush Tours is a fun, professional, and experienced locally-owned Okanogan touring company with deep family roots in the area, going back to 1910. Located in the heart of wine country, in Penticton, British Columbia, and touring the surrounding area, including Kelowna, our tours can take from 3-8 hours depending on the location and wineries chosen. All tours are led by one of our knowledgeable guides who will take you on a journey to discover Okanagan wines, agriculture, and the history of the area.

What makes us different?

We are a luxury wine tour provider in the Okanagan Valley. What does that mean? As the Okanagan’s only ecotourism company, we offer private wine tours throughout the valley. We know and reveal many hidden facts, significant local features, and stories that no other tour operator knows, so you get to experience the Okanagan through local eyes.

We also offer Private Tours. Due to the current global pandemic, Private Tours are only for your accepted Social Bubble and no one outside of your approved group will be booked onto the bus. This means smaller groups and more personalized services both are offered on the bus and at each winery. Smaller, private tours allows you to tailor and upgrade your experience by choosing:

  • Which wineries you visit (although there may be additional tasting costs for some).
  • Flexible start and lunch times.
  • The choice to end the tour with supper or stop halfway for lunch.
  • To upgrade to premium tastings or black glass tastings (blind tastings).
  • To upgrade to a Private Seated tasting or a Winery Tour & Tasting at the wineries.

Shared tours are currently unavailable due to Provincial Health Orders and winery tasting protocols. This makes Private Tours much more available, valuable, and intimate. Our Private Tours are for two or more people, whereas others have set tours at a minimum of four guests.

What can you expect on a Sagebrush Tour?

Make your day relaxing and leisurely by picking the highest rated private touring company in the Okanagan Valley. On each of our winery tours, you can expect to discover new wines and learn about the region, all along with a friendly guide. We also enhance your experience with:

  • Luxury A/C high-roof, clean, new tour bus, or SUV.
  • Complimentary chilled water or sparkling water.
  • Pickup and drop-off at your accommodation.
  • Lunch reservations (on full-day tours only).

Typically, we offer snacks of crackers and cheese spreads on the tour, although they are temporarily unavailable due to COVID-19 health guidelines.

We recommend you try wines even if you typically do not like the type, and to always ask questions. Winery staff and guides are extremely knowledgeable and passionate about what they do and love to answer questions relating to their vineyard.

We recommend booking a tour because all of those wine samples can add up and reliable transportation means you can sip without worry. We take care of driving you to many fine wineries in the region – all you have to do is sit back and enjoy the ride.
